Campers will be expected to bring their own lunch, water, and snacks. All other materials, including laptops, building materials, etc will be provided for campers.  Otherwise, we hope they can come to camp eager to learn!

The 8-12 range is not a strict age range, however our curriculum is designed for these ages. If you believe your child will be well suited in the curriculum, we highly encourage they join us! We would prefer if your child is around the age range so they are around others a similar age as them. This camp is 90% refundable until June 28, 2025

Campers will first learn all of the basics of robotics. After learning all of the basics, they will participate in a mini competition, where they will be using the building, coding, and CAD skills they learned to create their very own robot, as well as preparing a presentation to present to our “judges”. 

This competition will be held on the last day of camp (August 1st), and will be open for parents to watch. 

Design: Campers will learn the importance of the design proccess, and be able to design their own functional robot.

Build: Campers will be able to participate in hands-on building activities using Lego NXT parts. 

Programming: Campers will learn basic block programming and will be able to program their robot.

Computer Aided Design (CAD): Campers will learn how to use Computer Aided Design in TinkerCAD, and will learn how CAD can be used in projects.

Problem Solving: Campers will learn to identify problems and come up with unique and innovative solutions to resolve them.

Teamwork: Campers will work with each other to design, build, and program a robot.

Our counselors are members of FIRST Tech Challenge team 18697,  Monke Bang Rock. FIRST Tech Challenge is a global, competitive, robotics organization. Our counselors are experienced in robotics and are excited to help guide the campers to learn more about robotics!
